The first template there has black background with white page texts. the second one is in the Travel category. This one has dark transparent background and the page texts is gray.

Newbie: I don't want to use them. I want to optimize my own style. Can I still change the background color of my blog to black and the page text of it to white?

Steps on doing the inverted page text and background color style of a blog:

1. Log-in to your account.
2. Choose the blog you want to edit.
3. Go to the layout, then template designer.
4. Choose the advance option.
5. In the page text option, choose white as the page text color.
6. Then on the backgrounds option, choose black on the outer background, main background and header background color option.
7. Click on the apply to blog button.

That's it, you now have the inverted style of blog.

(If you want to change it back to normal just click on the clear advanced changes to page text in the page text option and clear advance changes to backgrounds in the backgrounds option under the advance category of the template designer.)
